Genesis: The Creation and the Flood
The book of Genesis and the whole of the Bible begins with two highly contrasting images: one focusing on the power of uncontaminated nature and the other concentrating on the simplicity of a nomad shepherd sitting with his family in a tent telling them a story.
The creation of man and woman, the original sin, the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Paradise, man's first crime with Cain's killing of Abel, the condemnation of God, the spread of corruption and evil, God's disappointment at man's sin, the choosing of Noah, the building of the Ark, the flood, the origin of a new humanity and the God's Covenant with all living creatures.
