Synopsis
Don Matteo returns for its fifteenth season, ready once again to capture the hearts of audiences everywhere. And as always, this series is full of “heart” — starting with its protagonist, Don Massimo, who never hesitates to lend a hand to those in need, alongside the irreplaceable Natalina, Pippo, and, of course, Marshal Cecchini. Joining them are other familiar and beloved faces, such as the couple formed by the new Carabinieri Captain, Diego Martini, and Giulia Mezzanotte, Don Massimo’s sister. Last season, they made us dream and rejoice with them, and now they’re ready to surprise us even more. Now that their love has finally blossomed, we find them happy and in love, but also at a moment in their lives when reflection comes naturally—when questions about the future arise: what awaits them? What’s the next step? Not just as a couple, but as individuals. While Diego seems sure of what he wants, these doubts weigh heavily on Giulia, who has just lost her mother, lacks clear professional direction, and still struggles to understand where she belongs in the world. Someone who *seems* to have found her place—though not without complications—is the young new marshal at the Spoleto station, Caterina Provvedi. Or almost. Her transfer appears to be the result of a mishap that puts her in direct competition for the same position as none other than our Marshal Cecchini. But not to worry: together, the two of them promise plenty of chaos, laughter, and heartfelt moments. Yet beneath Caterina’s slightly awkward demeanor lies a world she keeps hidden, like a secret—one she initially shares only with Don Massimo. But Don Massimo, too, will face new challenges this season. Out of the blue, he crosses paths with a young, pregnant teenage girl who has lost her memory. He decides to call her Maria. Where does she come from? What happened to her? Finding those answers becomes the priest’s priority—for the sake of the girl and the baby she’s about to bring into the world. Because it’s clear that Maria’s past holds the key to everything—and conceals a threat that Don Massimo must recognize and stop before it’s too late.
