From ambitious bet to international phenomenon: “DOC. Nelle tue mani” has become the first Italian TV series to receive an official U.S. remake. 🇺🇸

🩺 Creating an Italian medical drama capable of winning over audiences was made possible thanks to some of the best creative talents in the country, including screenwriters Francesco Arlanch and Viola Rispoli, and director Jan Maria Michelini, who gave the project his unique creative touch.

👉 In an exclusive interview with Corriere della Sera, Luca Argentero, star of the original series, and Molly Parker, leading actress in the American version as Dr. Amy Larsen, spoke about the U.S. remake.

🗣️ “Dr. Fanti played by a woman? I truly think it was a great idea—to flip the point of view from male to female. I believe it will generate more excitement among viewers for a fresh story,” said Argentero.

🗣️ Molly Parker revealed: “I didn’t want to watch the Italian series before making ours, so as not to be influenced. But when I finally did, I was blown away by Luca’s performance.”

🎬 The US remake, produced by Fox and Sony Pictures Television, is set in Minneapolis. Meanwhile, Luca Argentero is already working on the fourth season of the Italian series, set to debut in 2026: “I can’t reveal much. Andrea will return to the Policlinico Ambrosiano after a long absence due to his ex-wife Agnese’s illness and will find that his department—his true ‘home’—has been completely transformed.”
